Hi, I am Leslie Virtue, a mom of girl/boy twins Sadie and Declan. I am looking for like-minded parents to join us at our weekly excursions to the MET, MOMA, or AMNH. We have been doing these weekly outings for five years and would love some company! I made this website so you can meet us, whether you are visiting NYC for the first time or local like us. I stick to these three museums so that there can be continuous learning, and it's less stressful for me. I find going to the museum something our whole family can enjoy together and learn at our own pace. We are not up for any pretentiousness just a lot fun with a little learning, which tends to be the best way.
When We Go:
Our usual time to go to the galleries is every Friday or Thursday afternoon/evenings or Saturday afternoons. We stay a couple of hours; if the weather permits, we go to a park for a walk, play afterward, and sometimes grab lunch. Feel free to contact me if you have certain dates and times you would like to go.

About Me:
I grew up going to museums and art galleries. My mom was an art teacher, and my dad loved photography. My father worked for the IMF, so I grew up worldwide. NYC museums fit me, as I need to explore and learn a lot to stay happy. I have degrees in Anthropology, Philosophy as well as Design. I started my design career designing museums and then switched to Interior Design. I am founder of coorie interiors in NYC.

In NYC, memberships to cultural institutions are around $100 a year, meaning you always have something to do for the whole year, and you can take your out-of-town guest for free. As an NYC resident, institutions like MOMA, the MET, and the American Museum of Natural History, admission is by donation only with proof is NYC residency. Still, the lineup is very long with all the tourists. With memberships, you cut the line and don't need to stay too long. When it's hot or cold outside, it's a place to go. If you are a first-time NYC resident, you can also file for a free year to galleries, zoos, and museums.
